Systems Project Co-Ordinator (IT)

The Role

  • Ensuring that IT market systems projects are implemented with minimal impact on both the operation of internal processes and external operation of the markets.
  • Ensuring that all market systems upgrades are fully assessed, tested and implemented within the required timelines
  • Ensuring effective programme management of the Market Operations IT investment pipeline to ensure successful delivery within budget and to maximise full utilisation of resources
  • Ensuring effective co-ordination with the IT Managed Service Provider to deliver effective project planning
  • Ensuring timely submission of market systems projects briefs to the ITMG for inclusion in the overall Company  IT delivery plan
  • Engaging with the Market Systems Operations Co-ordinator to ensure delivery of market design changes within required timelines
  • Engaging with business leads to ensure market systems defects and change requests are prioritised and agreed
  • Effectively managing the use of contracted development and run rate days allowance provided under the Managed Service contract
  • Delivering process improvements within Market Services
  • Providing, developing and implementing operational reports to assess the quality and timeliness of services provided by the company and the managed service provider
  • Ensuring system and process compliance in accordance with market rules

 

The Individual

  • Significant practical experience of managing major IT systems projects or investment programmes
  • HND/Degree in an IT or business related discipline
  • Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP ISU or similar bespoke systems applications
  • Working knowledge of  IT applications including Excel at least to intermediate level
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Flexible approach
  • Full driving licence
